The hard ice packs are pre-filled with a safe gel and are completely sealed.
What is the purpose of the holes in the middle?
Each freezer block has a hole in the middle for better handling and to keep the gel evenly spread through the cooler ice packs. Prevents gel from collecting and bulging in certain spots
How long does it take for them to freeze in the freezer and how long will it keep the food cold?
It will freeze within 2.5 hours and lasts up to 10 hours if put in coolers or insulated bags, depending on the type of lunch bag and room temperature. Freeze the ice blocks the night before use for maximum cooling power.
Will these get through the TSA when traveling by airplane?
Our long-lasting ice packs can be brought through TSA security checkpoints when FULLY frozen. If they are partially or fully melted, they need to be transported in check-in luggage.
